The name, place of business, objectives, policies, number of officers, and other pertinent information are listed in the articles covering membership requirements, officers with their respective duties, elections, rules of conduct, and all pertinent articles to the structure and governing of this organization.
These bylaws were revised and ratified 05/2025.
Article VII
Officer Positions & Responsibilities
- Only STANDARD members may hold an officer position on the chapter.
- The officers shall consist of:
- President
- Sergeant at Arms
- Secretary/Treasurer
- Newsletter Editor
- Storekeeper
- Membership Director
- The board of officers must consist of at least five members.
- The Sunbust show coordinator, the Webmaster and the Social Media Coordinator shall be appointed positions and are not considered officers of the club.
The duties of the elected officers will be as follows:
President
- Oversee and administer the activities of the club.
- Oversee the duties of the other officers.
- Be responsible for all awards, trophies, and presentations.
- Attend all Chapter functions and outside functions as reasonably as possible.
- Designate two people to have access to the club mailbox.
- Secure a meeting place for all scheduled monthly meetings.
Secretary/Treasurer
- Maintain the club by-laws.
- Maintain a record of all business discussed at all scheduled club meetings and functions as necessary.
- Provide and maintain an attendance roster for each scheduled meeting and function.
- Preside and conduct business in place of the president when he cannot be present.
- Maintain the club checking account and ledger in an acceptable manner.
- Receive and distribute all money involved with club activities.
- Provide a financial statement at each scheduled meeting.
- Provide receipt for all money spent by the club for any/all activities.
Sergeant at Arms
- Maintain orderly conduct of the participants at all meetings and events.
- Notify any member of non-compliance of the rules and regulations of the club. This also applies to non-members.
- Help other officers of the club in any capacity necessary.
Newsletter Editor
- Maintain and publish a monthly newsletter of which a minimum of 11 would be published on a yearly basis.
- Newsletters will be published and sent in the mail/E-Mail within the first ten days of the month.
- All contents will be of good taste and must reflect the high quality of the club's standards and by-laws.
- Maintain and publish printed material needed by the club such as flyers, signs, etc.
- Keep records of all newsletters and other printed material for the club for past research or future use.
Storekeeper
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all items in stock.
- Maintain a current and adequate stock of items and merchandise.
- Give any funds received to the treasurer.
- Organize the selling of items at meetings and shows.
Membership Director
- Receive and retain all membership applications.
- Forward all money received to the Treasurer.
- Issue Membership Cards.
- Maintain a Membership Roster.
- Provide a list of all current members to the President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Newsletter Editor.
- Submit an article to the newsletter each month.
